Saw 'Sky Captain' today. And let me tell you, the only thing that movie didnt have was zombies.
But, hell, that's what the Director's Cut is for.
Did you know that you've got timeĀ for another commentary on 'The Exorcist'?
I think the quote that most sums things up is found near the end of the book. It's two guys standing on a sidewalk, incidentally, and they personify the reaction of every character in that book to, well, the events.
"What happened?"
"Who the hell knows, buddy?"
You guys (especially those of you that saw the movie) may not believe it, but the issue of whether or not Reagan's posession was of demonic origin is never truley resolved in the book. Throughout the movie, Father Karras (who, it turns out, is actually even MORE awesome than originally thought) consistently provides an argument against not only Reagan's case, but also demonic posession itself.
Hell, even AFTER the seemingly-informative finale, Lt. Kinderman (who, i'm glad to point out, actually DOES something in the book) manages to sum things up in a way that does exactly what the book's star demon intended: it leaves a seed of doubt in your mind.
